There are ongoing challenges within the private sector in how to sustainably handle unwanted FF+E at the point of refurbishment or renewal.

Currently options for disposal of unwanted resources are limited to the broken donations model of redistribution or the expensive and unsustainable throwaway model of disposal. Is the upholstery in your commercial setting missing a fire label? Are your mattresses slightly marked? BGES work to alternative disposal/redistribution models allowing us to open new markets and extend the life cycle of any unwanted resources.

Strip-Out/Demolition
Specialising in site clearance and soft demolition work, BGES are committed to delivering these services tailored to the needs of the client/project.
Our staff are expertly trained in the removal of all non-structural aspects of a room/building. This primarily includes: fixtures and fittings (doors, windows, kitchen/bathroom fittings), internal walls, ceilings, temporary structures and equipment/machinery.

BGES work to impeccable sustainability credentials on each project. Working to a framework of reuse for any reusable materials, resources and FF+E during each strip out/soft demolition, BGES work with sustainability at the forefront of each job.

Removal and Storage
Quite often the first step to a sustainable reuse strategy is to reuse the resources internally within your organisation. This may require a short/long term storage solution.

Undertaking renovation work doesn't always mean the renewal of all FF+E from your property. It does mean that all FF+E should be removed from site whilst works are undertaken to be brought back and fitted at a later date.

BGES offer the full turnkey solution in this instance. Our team may already be on site handling the removal and redistributions of your unwanted resources. It therefore makes sense to allow us to manage the decant of all FF+E to our store whether you are holding onto goods to be brough back or not.

Multiple times throughout the academic year, students exit their catered and self catered accommodations leaving behind a huge volume of resources.

These huge volumes of homewares, bedding, clothing and small electronics pose a significant problem for universities and colleges when sourcing a sustainable disposal option with many opting for skips and recycling to ensure their accommodation sites are emptied in time for the next wave of residents.
